Program Description: ISIS is a world-leading center for research in the physical and life sciences at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Oxford in the United Kingdom. ISIS is the world’s most successful pulsed spallation neutron source. At the heart of ISIS is an 800 MeV proton accelerator producing intense pulses of protons 50 times a second. The accelerator consists of an injector and a synchrotron.
