Program Description: The Minnesota Population Center is one of the world’s leading developers of demographic data resources. The Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS) is an effort to inventory, preserve, harmonize, and disseminate census microdata from around the world. The project has collected the world's largest archive of publicly available census samples. The data are coded and documented consistently across countries and over time to facilitate comparative research. available to qualified researchers free of charge through a web dissemination system. Additional datasets are also available. The Center is located in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota.
